OH MY DOG. IS THAT A BACKGROUND?!? Yep it is! And it isn't a photoshop brush-tool meadow or a blurred photo! It's far from great and i've had lego settings look less square and artificial than that, BUT HEY! IT'S A BACKGROUND!! HaHaHa!
Anyways, heavely refrenced, that's why, for once, the upper part of the centaurs look human, too bad i didn't have the courage to add them horse ears, ah well...
And THANK YOU for showing me that horizon lines don't always have to be leveled with the characters' heads, and for the encouragement, of course.
Yeah! the anatomy is very good on this one...the background isn't great but you said it at least it's from you! I rrly like the chick on the front, the movement and the anatomy is great however the shirt makes it seem a bit odd...'cause then why's the guy not wearing a t-shirt? The anatomy of the guy is good too, you did greatly.doesn't matter if it's photo referenced: we all gotta learn one way or another...now if you want some advice: if i'd be you i'd put a black contour on the backgroud as well, the characters would look a bit more 'in' the landscape instead of 'transposed onto' like in old time animations (did you get the idea?) Another important thing is that you still fear the light and the shade...(mouahaha this is so emphatic)let's just say i don't beleive in such a blue sky without more sun ...and lookit the grass: pretty dull for a field who should be burning under the rays of the sun. Let's say your anatomy is great, the composition is simple yet efficient BUT the colors are just..tasteless. Apparently the sun comes from the left, i say apparently cause that's what i concluded from the shades on the torsos...no you gotta understand the presence of light should be more significative than that...try putting a slight gradient in the sky, increasing the color saturation and darnkess of the trees, same and a bit less for their shadows, and try highligting the field and the characters... A last thing but it's more on a personnal register, it's awfully soppy...
Well, the centauress is wearing a t-shirt 'cause the chick on the photo from where i took the pose was wearing a t-shirt and i'm not that good in drawing unreferenced bouncing boobs, they'd probably just look awkward... Ok, i'll try to have an outline for the bg on the next pic. And yeah, you are totally right, the bg colors are horribly dull, and i can imagine how to add depth, light and shade on the trees, even on the mountains, but sky rays of light and blazing grass? i sincerely have no idea where to begin, specially for the blazing grass, i'm afraid everything i did would look horribly fake (not that it doesn't look so already, more fake i mean, hehe). Thanks for the heads-up and the tips!
And just saying u can write ur comments in french, i read and understand it greatly, although i speak it like shit and don't like writing in it 'cause i've always flunked my "dictées" and that is a fact.

I like my Taurs without the horse ears. They're half human after all. Great job on this. The male's face has kind of a "you talking to ME? Really? I can actually get near you? No need to ask twice!!"

Haha, you are right! Well, male centaurs are know to be kinda kinky, so it's a good thing this one was nice enough to wait to be asked... Thanx for the fav and comment!
