I saw for the first time a couple of days ago "my neighbour Totoro" and i liked it sooooo much. But we had to see it in youtube, and that really pisses me off. You can't find this movie in spain, nor can you find "nausicaa" or "laputa, castle in te sky", you can find them in france or germany, but in spain? No way! Actually, the dvd of Goro Miyazaki's movie is coming out in late october, in france! Here, we don't even know when it's going to come on cinemas, if it comes at all. There were in all of Madrid THREE cinema's that had "Howl's moving castle" and two of them were on the area surrounding Madrid city! Oh buggy, i think there must be same number of anime lovers in France as in Spain, but it is released or brought a lot later, might not even come! I hate this! When it comes to comic culture, i'm ashamed of my country. We get less stuff and a hundred times slower, and i've got no idea why! Nausicaa's comic book was sold 10 MILLION times, do u know how much money that is?!? But it was NEVER brought to Europe! Can someone explain why?
But waaaaaait! In Spain, it's not only with japanese stuff! Same thing happens with the american comic books and the french/belgian/eu ones!! Oh! might be because the spanish comic industry is so good and productive we don't need all that japa and frenchy stuff! What?!? A little bird just told me spanish comic artists FLEE their home country 'cause very little people actually get their comic printed, even if it's wonder. Comic books seem to be considered as "books for children" 'cause they got little pictures on them... oh for fuck's sake! I dispise that attitude, but it looks like it's not about to change!
As soon as i'm ready i think i'll flee myself.
Geez, it's 4 am in the morning, i just saw "the firefly graveyard" and i feel like shit... i need some chocolate...

EXTRA: a good laugh cheered me up too, so... If any naruto fan happens to see this page and read my journal, here's a parody i sincerely recomend: it's called the "naruto abridged episodes", there are fifteen (for now), u can find them in youtube or dialymotion, and they have been done by (this is important, 'caus people have tried to copy them) vegeta3986 and masakox.

lol! great minds think alike, but while you where watching the firefly graveyard, I had allready voiced out my indignation... but anyway... the more the merrier.

Comic books (graphic novels if u prefer the cute name) and animation is also culture! Bloody disney seems to have convinced the world that it is only for kids. FALSE! u can find awesome things in european comic, and some of the japanese animation movies are a lot deeper than you'd expect.

If they keep blocking our way... we shall bring culture to this country by FORCE!!!

(by they way, great speech and i totally agree with u ^_^)
